Hindi typing practice online

Hindi typing practice — INSCRIPT, Mangal and Devlys 010

Hindi typing is required for SSC CHSL (30 WPM Mangal INSCRIPT), RSMSSB LDC (25 WPM Devlys 010), CPCT (20 NWPM Remington Gail), and DSSSB. Three completely different keyboard layouts — we support all of them.

Lessons start from vowel markers (matras) and progress through conjuncts and complex characters. The virtual keyboard shows the Devanagari layout at every step, so you never have to guess which key to press.

Punjabi typing practice online

Punjabi typing — Raavi Unicode font for PSSSB

PSSSB requires Punjabi typing in Raavi Unicode font using the Gurmukhi INSCRIPT keyboard — 30 WPM with 92% accuracy. Our chunk-based practice mode replicates the exact PSSSB interface: one chunk visible at a time, Enter to advance after typing 80%.

Punjabi lessons start with basic consonants and vowel marks, progress through laga matra and ligatures, and build up to full-speed chunk practice at PSSSB difficulty.

How it works

From first keystroke to exam-ready in 4–6 weeks

Not random drills. A structured path where every lesson builds on the last.

01

Choose your exam and language

Select SSC CHSL, PSSSB, RRB NTPC, RSMSSB, DSSSB, or CPCT. Each exam has different WPM targets, keyboard layouts, and interface rules — we match all of them. Choose the language your exam demands.

02

Train with guided key lessons

Chapter-by-chapter lessons with a live virtual keyboard showing exactly which finger to use for each character. Progress from home row to full keyboard — no guesswork, measurable improvement from session one.

03

Take exact exam simulations

Timed tests that replicate the actual exam software — same interface, same scoring formula, same pass or fail threshold. Know your real score before exam day, not after.

Why TypingSutra

Built for the exam — not just typing

Generic typing tutors do not know about word-lock rules, chunk interfaces, or Devlys 010. We do.

Exact exam interface for every board
PSSSB chunk-based interface, RRB no-backspace rule, RSMSSB word-lock after space, DSSSB hard-copy panel, SSC split-screen — each interface replicated exactly. Including the scoring formula your exam actually uses.
Focus drill — targets only your weakest keys
After every lesson, the system identifies the 4–5 keys you miss most often and auto-generates a drill targeting only those. Most students gain 3–5 WPM in a single focused session. No time wasted on keys you already know.
Three keyboards, one platform
English QWERTY, Hindi Mangal INSCRIPT, Hindi Devlys 010 with Remington Gail, and Punjabi Gurmukhi INSCRIPT with Raavi Unicode. Switch languages and keyboard layouts in one click — no separate tools needed.
Real passages, real scoring formulas
SSC full and half mistake formula, PSSSB net character score, RRB 5% free error band — the same calculation your actual exam uses. Know exactly where you stand before exam day, not after.
Works on your phone — no app needed
Open TypingSutra in Chrome on any Android or iPhone. Connect a USB keyboard using a USB-C to USB adapter (₹150–200 at any phone accessories shop). All lessons, speed tests and exam simulations work exactly the same as on a laptop. No download, no account needed to start.
500+ practice sessions and full exam tests
Over 500 curated practice sessions and full-length exam tests across all 7 exams — English, Hindi and Punjabi. Timed drills, real exam interfaces and guided lessons that take you from your first key to your WPM target.

I kept failing PSSSB typing even though my WPM was decent. Turned out I was rushing the chunk transition — hit Enter too fast and lost my rhythm every time. Took me a while to even realise that was the issue. Practised only that part here for two weeks. Cleared with 31 WPM in the March batch.

The no-backspace rule in RRB is brutal when you are used to normal typing. My hand kept going to backspace automatically and it completely killed my rhythm. Took a few weeks to untrain that reflex. Once I stopped fighting it and just kept typing through mistakes, the speed came. Got 34 in the exam.

FAQ

Straight answers to real questions

Yes, but it is different from SSC CHSL. SSC CGL has a DEST (Data Entry Speed Test) in Tier-2 for posts like Tax Assistant and Data Entry Operator. You have to type 2000 key depressions in 15 minutes in English. It is qualifying in nature only — no marks are added to your merit score, but failing it means disqualification. SSC CHSL, on the other hand, is a full speed test at 35 WPM in English or 30 WPM in Hindi for 10 minutes.

Analysis & Focus Drills

We find your weak keys.
Then fix them.

Most typing apps just show you WPM. TypingSutra shows you why your WPM is low — and gives you targeted drills to fix exactly those keys.

📊
Per-key accuracy tracking
Every keystroke is recorded. We build a heatmap of every key you typed — showing which ones you get wrong most.
🔍
Automatic weak-key detection
After each session, our system identifies your 3–5 most problematic keys. Not by guess — by your actual typing data.
🎯
Targeted focus drills
Custom drills generated specifically for your weak keys. 5–10 minutes a day on the right keys beats hours of random practice.
